As a Research Scientist at the Alibaba-NTU Global e-Sustainability CorpLab (ANGEL), I specialize in leveraging advanced Large Language Models (LLMs) to address real-world sustainability challenges. My research combines state-of-the-art AI methodologies with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals, driving significant global environmental and social impacts.
Previously, as a Project Officer managing projects at the Continental-NTU Corporate Lab, I applied innovative AI techniques within the mobility sector, focusing on intelligent transportation systems related to risk assessment, predictive modeling, and inference through strong industry collaboration. This experience enhanced my capability to translate cross-domain research into practical, scalable applications.
My professional journey began at NTU’s Joint Research Centre of Excellence in Active Living for the Elderly (LILY), where I spent over seven years developing empathetic, human-centered AI solutions. My projects included nutritional assessments and personalized recommendations targeting frail elderly populations and general users, home-based activity monitoring, and senior-focused activity crowdsourcing. My efforts aimed to significantly enhance the quality of life and empower older adults through intuitive, smart technologies.
Concurrently, I completed my PhD in Artificial Intelligence at the College of Computing and Data Science, specializing in deep learning, transformer architectures, and recommender systems. This rigorous academic foundation continues to shape my research vision and technical strategies.
Additionally, I advocate for flexible, remote-friendly working environments, believing telecommuting substantially improves productivity, creativity, and overall work-life balance. I actively seek collaborations with forward-thinking teams dedicated to autonomy, innovation, and impactful research.
